Find out if this opportunity is a good fit by reading all of the information that follows below.DescriptionAs an engineer on the Audio Session team, you will be responsible for developing and supporting software that feeds into the media policy engine responsible for rich immersive audio experiences across Apple's various platforms - iOS, watchOS, tvOS and visionOS. AMT’s audio team provides the audio foundation for many high profile features such as Spatial Audio, Siri, FaceTime and media capture and playback. The role involves actively solving problems, helping build out new features and capabilities, and supporting the developer-facing APIs for both first and third party applications. You must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a knack for solving problems creatively. The fast-paced nature of the job requires that you be able to work well under pressure. We are seeking someone who is passionate about thinking out of the box and building new solutions and technologies for our customers. Our ideal candidate is ready to transition into a management role, leading a small team of engineers focused on developing and maintaining both new and existing features, as well as triaging new issues.Minimum QualificationsUnderstanding of digital audio technologies is desirable.Preferred Qualifications5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally including time spent as a team lead or manager.Solid command of the C/C++ programming language.Experience with Swift/Obj-C.Experience with systems programming.Solid understanding of the development and debugging of multi-threaded software.Experience working with Audio APIs.BS or MS in CS, EE, or related, with a solid understanding of digital audio.Apple is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
