Our client, a Fortune 500 Software Organization, is seeking a Marketing Performance Analyst to bring onto the team.
Duties:
You are an individual contributor focused on enabling and driving change within the go-to-market team. You are a key partner to sales and cross-functional leaders. Success in this role requires the proven ability to analyze marketing funnels, identify areas of opportunity, create narratives, and report campaign/funnel performance. The ideal candidate should be able to translate questions and business asks into concrete questions and analysis, working with partner teams to get the right data and leverage storytelling to form a narrative. The candidate should be open-minded to challenge the status quo and work in a complex and rapidly changing organization while inspiring excellence throughout.
What you'll do:
Identify areas of unlock through analysis and actions
Track, analyze and report on funnel metrics on a weekly, quarterly and yearly basis, delivering actionable insights to senior leadership and driving change through influencing partner teams.
Provide an expert perspective on the underlying business health, performance and customer experience of our business across countries, categories and programs.
Build visualizations and analysis to identify gaps in the funnel and areas of campaign optimization, leveraging data from multiple data sources to build a narrative.
Develop and implement data-backed strategies that drive growth, measuring their effectiveness using relevant KPIs.
Produce reporting and presentations for stakeholders
Collaborate on the financial Outlook process, partnering with Financial Planning to determine the quarter-end close number, contributing to the Outlook report and providing trends/insights for senior stakeholders.
Pull custom reports from multiple datasets after taking requirements from leadership on project asks.
Prepare detailed presentations, analysis, and materials to support the management team with QBRs and business reviews.
Present funnel analysis in weekly Run-the-business sessions and during ad-hoc meetings.
Cross-functional partnerships
Partner with cross-functional teams e.g. Data Science, Data Engineering, Sales to investigate metric anomalies and trends. Schedule and track key meeting series, then work backwards from those deadlines to ensure deliverables are met.
Ability to formulate hypotheses and use problem-solving techniques to propose solutions for complex problems.
Skills:
7 to 10 years of experience.
Experience in story telling using data. Ability to analyse and articulate complex data sets will be a must.
Experience with standard tools - Excel, JIRA, PowerBI etc.
An effective communicator, with ability to flex styles depending on the audience. Experienced in building and maintaining positive relationships across a corporate, matrix organization.
Background in analysing marketing funnels and providing executive-level reporting.
Track record of leveraging data to guide decision-making, taking proactive approaches to delivering high-quality work. Proficient in Excel, able to make Pivot Tables, V-lookup functions etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
Highly organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional, matrixed organization.
Requirements:
Must be located in and around the Bay Area and meet hybrid office requirements.
Must be available for core hours for collaboration with global teams.
Monday: 7:30am – 10:30am
Tuesday: 8:30am – 11am
Wednesday/Thursday: 7:30am – 10:30am
Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a SaaS or tech-centric environment.
Education:
Bachelor's degree.
