Check all associated application documentation thoroughly before clicking on the apply button at the bottom of this description.Key Accountabilities:Plans and oversees the strategy, development, publication, and enhancement of social media content across all owned platforms, and creates policy and standards to ensure consistencyExpands and cultivates new social media platforms beyond existing ones to broaden outreachCrafts compelling and pertinent content tailored to each platform, aligning with Hartford HealthCare’s identity. Tactics include images and graphics, videos, interviews, stories, sponsored activities. Platforms may include all mass media (television, radio, print and online) and internal communications vehicles (Intranet, Internets, social media, digital signage)Master and maintains Hartford HealthCare’s distinct voice while representing it consistently across all social media platformsProactively manages team/partners who engage with and manage inbound comments on all social media platforms in real-time, escalating issues when necessaryUtilizes social media management tools for content scheduling, conversation monitoring, trend tracking, and performance analysis. Analyzes content performance metrics and delivers social insights and best practices through comprehensive reportingStays abreast of digital, social, and consumer trends to provide informed recommendations and maintain relevanceCollaborates with HHC marketing professionals, clinical departments and other subject matter experts and vendor partners. Partners with colleagues to train and create contentEstablishes standards for the development and creation of branded content. Creates and communicates standards for video and other communications to ensure adherence to brand and maintain qualityWorks with members from the Digital Strategy, Marketing and Branding, and Strategic Planning teams to develop standard work for strategic content generation and deployment, tracking performance and adjusting as neededCoaches, trains and encourages visual content development. Develops and provides regular, role-appropriate training modules to all involved in communications and marketing; provides training in person and makes available a “toolkit” for independent learning and referenceIntegrates branded content across the enterprise working with appropriate directors, managers and specialists to ensure integration of News Service and its capabilities into all channels and business unitsCreates plans and visibility for senior leadership. Improves statewide and national profile of system executives and top subject matter experts in ways that differentiate Hartford HealthCareMinimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Journalism or related fieldThree plus years of leadership experienceFive plus years of experience within social media or communications. Healthcare experience preferred, though other experience in a complex service-oriented industry will be consideredPossess in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants and how to maximize visibility and engagementDemonstrated experience working in partnership with senior leaders including Presidents, Vice Presidents and Physicians as well as senior professionals in Communications, Marketing and Planning/StrategyAptitude for crafting engaging content, creating social media strategies and strong track record of successful content developmentStrong project management and organizational skills with public relations, marketing, sales, or social community managementExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to assess and acquire new social media toolsDigital design using Photoshop and Illustrator and digital media editing (minor video and audio editing)Experience with or willingness to learn web content management systems, including WordPress
