Entrepreneur & Marketing Development Specialist Position Available
Join the Bedford County Development Association (BCDA) as our Entrepreneur & Marketing Development Specialist and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of local businesses. In this
role, you will provide personalized support and mentorship to entrepreneurs across various
industries, craft innovative marketing strategies, and lead impactful educational events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Empower Entrepreneurs:
o
Identify and support entrepreneurs at various stages of their business journey
with tailored guidance and mentorship to drive their success.
Lead Educational Events:
o
Organize and facilitate networking events, workshops, and training sessions designed to build a vibrant and collaborative entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Build Strategic Partnerships:
o
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key support partners to enhance
the entrepreneurial support network.
Innovate Marketing Strategies:
o
Create and coordinate compelling marketing materials and campaigns to advance BCDA's initiatives using advanced AI marketing tools.
Conduct Market Research:
o
Perform in-depth market research and competitive analysis to uncover trends, opportunities, and challenges for rural economic and community development.
Database Management:
o
Develop and manage comprehensive databases of clients, partners, and
programs to ensure effffective tracking and support.
Manage Special Projects:
o
Take charge of special projects as assigned, coordinating with key stakeholders
to ensure successful execution and outcomes.
Additional Duties:
o
Embrace various tasks and responsibilities as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
Expertise:
Degree in marketing, business, entrepreneurship, or a related field. Small
business ownership or management experience is preferred.
Marketing Skills:
Deep understanding of marketing principles with a proven ability to develop and implement effective strategies.
Communication:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a talent for building relationships and engaging stakeholders.
Project Management:
Proficient in managing projects with a collaborative approach.
Business Acumen:
Familiarity with financial analysis and business planning.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, Illustrator, Adobe, WordPress,
and social media platforms.
Confidentiality:
Commitment to maintaining discretion and confidentiality with sensitive
information.
