This role involves:
- Market and sell personal lines insurance policies: Proactively contacting leads to recommend appropriate insurance, quoting, and placing coverage. Identifying and assessing client risk exposures. (65‑75%)
- Fostering referral relationships: Building relationships with real estate agents, office managers, and mortgage brokers to maximize sales opportunities. (20-25%)
- Providing work direction: Guiding new business specialists to ensure proper and timely client onboarding. (0-5%)
- Monitoring and reporting: Reporting to management any circumstances that could lead to insurance errors, omissions, or complaints. (0-5%)
- Staying current: Keeping updated on industry trends and carrier underwriting requirements, following company procedures. (0-5%)
- Licensing: Maintaining current licenses and completing CEUs as needed. (0-5%)
- Additional responsibilities: Performing any other duties as assigned. (0-5%)
Qualifications include an associate’s degree or equivalent experience, with a preference for a bachelor’s degree, and at least two years of successful personal lines insurance sales experience. Skills required include sales and marketing, knowledge of insurance operations, risk assessment, analytical and interpersonal skills, and a valid state personal lines license.
