INTEGRATED MEDIA PLANNER
The Integrated Media Planner is a client-facing role that works closely with the media sales community and internal client teams. The Integrated Media Planner supports the planning, negotiation, and execution of online & offline media plans for assigned client accounts. This position is integral to the day-to-day management of campaigns including performance analysis and optimizations. The ideal candidate has experience handling strategic executions, excellent communication skills and is a team player who is adept at working with internal brand, analytics, social, production and creative teams, as well as direct client interaction.
Responsibilities
- Conduct media planning research using standard tools (MRI, Scarborough, comScore, etc.)
- Build strategies for both online and offline media to include: programmatic and site direct, broadcast, paid social, outdoor, print and search
- Develop media plans, recommendations and POVs
- Assist in the preparation of RFPs, media plans, objectives and strategies decks
- Negotiate best price and media placement for clients, as well as negotiate, reconcile, and resolve media discrepancies
- Present recommendations to internal teams as well as assigned clients
- Maintain, modify and update client flowcharts as needed
- Ensure accuracy of media documentation - including but not limited to Client Media Authorizations, Insertion Orders, Contracts, Budget Documents, Pacing, Make-Goods, and Reconciliations
- Analyze campaign performance and recommending necessary optimizations, where applicable
- Confer with supervisors, clients and/or client service, and team members for approvals and makes adjustments as necessary
- Partner closely with creative team to share creative analysis and recommendations when appropriate to improve media performance
- Collaborate with cross-department teams to handle invoicing and resolve media invoice discrepancies
- Stay current on emerging media trends, partners and technologies to provide best-in-class recommendations and POVS for clients
- Provide support for supervisors (AMDs, Media Directors, etc.)
- Ability to onboard and own proprietary internal tools for trafficking, naming conventions and campaigns integrity
Requirements:
- Two to three years of media planning and buying experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills, and superlative attention to details, particularly financial aspects
- Experience working on a team and managing up to supervisors
- Strong computer skills including media research and planning tools: MRI-Simmons, Scarborough, Comscore and Google suite applications
- Strong client service orientation, excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to multitask and manage approximately 3-4 clients
- Collaboration with search, social platforms/teams and analytics for 360-degree program execution
