$50.00/hr - $57.00/hr Date Posted: 07/01/2025 Hiring Organization: Rose International Position Number: 484895 Job Title: Drupal User Interface (UI)-User Experience (UX) Designer and Developer Work Model: Hybrid Employment Type: Temporary FT/PT: Full-Time Min Hourly Rate($): 50.00 Max Hourly Rate($): 57.00 Must Have Skills/Attributes: Bootstrap, Drupal, RESTful, UI/UX Design Experience Desired: Experience in UI/UX design and front-end web development (4 yrs); Experience with Drupal 9 or higher (3 yrs) Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree Job Description ***Only qualified Drupal UI/UX Designer and Developer candidates located in the Everett, MA area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence*** Preferred Education: • Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field or equivalent work experience Preferred Skills: • 4–6 years of experience in UI/UX design and front-end web development • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Drupal 9 or higher, including theming, site building, and administration • Demonstrated expertise in WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards, including testing and remediation • Experience with Drupal content migration, taxonomy design, and configuration management • Working knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services integration • Proficiency with prototyping and design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Illustrator, Photoshop) • Ability to clearly document and communicate design decisions, technical processes, and training materials • Proven track record of mentoring or training others in Drupal theming and platform management • Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams Client is seeking a skilled and versatile Drupal UI/UX Designer and Developer to join our team. This hybrid role combines user-centered design expertise with advanced Drupal development capabilities. You will be responsible for designing intuitive, accessible interfaces and building responsive, high-performing digital experiences using Drupal. The ideal candidate will be proficient in WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and have a demonstrated ability to train and mentor others in Drupal theming, site building, and administration Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Collaborate with agency stakeholders to understand project requirements, user needs, and business goals • Design and build Drupal websites with custom themes, templates, and front-end components • Lead and execute content migration strategies, including bulk content transfer, taxonomy configuration, and metadata management • Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to visualize and iterate on design concepts • Administer and configure Drupal site elements such as content types, views, menus, blocks, roles, and permissions • Conduct usability testing, user research, and feedback sessions to inform and validate design and content decisions • Ensure all designs and implementations comply with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards, including support for assistive technologies • Provide hands-on training and documentation to support internal team capacity in Drupal site building, theming, and content management • Facilitate ongoing knowledge transfer and mentor team members in Drupal best practices • Stay current on UI/UX trends, Drupal advancements, accessibility guidelines, and related web technologies **Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.** **Please note that all Position start dates and duration are estimates and may be reduced or lengthened based upon a client’s business needs and requirements.** For information and details on employment benefits offered with this position, please visit here.
