Associate Degree in drafting, engineering, interior design or related field. May substitute directly related experience for education. 1 year of aircraft experience = 1 year towards degree requirement Note: equivalencies are not cumulativeMust have beginning level proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft (Word, Excel, Power Point).Ability to work within a deadline-oriented environment
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
(Identify functions affecting the airworthiness of the aircraft by using the prefix “CRITICAL”)
· Develop and design complex patterns for various aircraft interior soft good products, following written and oral instructions, photographs, renditions and/or sketches, to complete the design expectations of Interior designers, customers, contract personnel, and management.
· Work closely and interact with Interior designers, contract personnel, customers, management, and co-workers to complete objectives in accordance to Production schedule and department budget goals.
· Recommend design improvements, including cost reductions, process and flow improvements, and the constant monitoring of product weights and restrictions.
· Design, develop, build-up, and create the initial product or first article aircraft seats and divans, in accordance to Part 91, Part 135, and specific vendor mechanical / operational guidelines and certification requirements for TSO.
· Maintain compliance with FAA rules and regulations related to, burn certification, weight restrictions, engineering drawings, and Falcon Jet standards.
· Perform other special assignments as directed by supervision.
