Through safety-net services and asset building solutions, Worcester Community Action Council (WCAC) creates economic mobility opportunities for tens of thousands of people annually through programs such as energy assistance, early education and care, financial empowerment, positive youth development, and career pathways. WCAC serves 45 towns in Central and South-Central Massachusetts with offices located in Worcester, Southbridge, Webster, East Brookfield, and Leicester. We are a team of 150 employees and an annual budget of approximately $30 million.

In addition to fair and transparent pay practices, we offer an additional pay differential to bilingual employees.Position Summary:WCAC is seeking a Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, responsible for ensuring positive visibility and clear internal and external communications for the organization. The Chief Marketing and Communications Officer will approach this work by building and executing a strategic marketing and communications plan with such goals as increased public understanding of WCAC’s mission, consistent branding across all programs, and improved clarity of communications with stakeholders such as clients, community partners, civic, community and legislative leaders and local media. The Chief Marketing and Communications Officer is also responsible for public relations messaging, and planning and developing a consistent brand strategy for internal and external use across all social media, presentations, and web-based platforms.RequirementsQualifications:Research shows that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification.
