Strategic Integration & Communications SpecialistJob Description Summary: D&G is seeking a Strategic Integration and Communications Specialist to support Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Logistics Operations (J3) Director’s Action Group (DAG). The Strategic Integration and Communications Specialist will support the entire DLA J3 DAG in accomplishing 1) senior leader providing decision support through fully integrated enterprise level deliverables, and 2) senior leader strategic communications through consistent messaging anchored to DLA’s strategic imperative and operational objectives.Roles & Responsibilities:+ Engage subject matter experts across the DLA enterprise to provide fully integrated program documentation for decision briefs, info briefs, white papers, fact sheets, and other deliverables+ Actively support quality control and exacting standards for deliverables that reach the highest levels of government; develop templates and leverage graphics and data visualizations.+ Provide expert level synthesis for Defense supply chain related strategic communications for DLA leadership, to include speeches, papers, articles, speaking points, and correspondence+ Prepare DLA leadership for Key Leader Engagements with high-level leadership to include defense leaders, federal civilian agencies, capitol hill, elected officials and foreign dignitaries.+ Support the DLA decision making governance bodies that synchronize and operationalize the DLA strategy; work with action officer to deliver well informed, decision-ready information.+ Synthesize information and identify J3 themes, imperatives, and objectives to improve J3 priority development, staff processes, knowledge management and strategic alignment+ Manage staff workflow and assist with executing J3 and agency-level taskers utilizing the task management tool (TMT) for time execution of OSD, joint staff, and internal DLA tasks.+ Provide administrative support such as scheduling, preparing agendas, attending meetings, taking notes, program documentation, knowledge management, and other duties as assigned.+ Support customer engagement team in preparing for and executing successful engagements through symposiums, conferences, and trade shows, often through industry associations.+ Maintain and consistently improve a training program for DLA staff Action Officers (AO).Requirements:+ Master’s degree. Experience can be used to substitute education requirements. A bachelor’s degree with 15-years of experience or an associates degree with 20-years of experience.+ 10 years of relevant experience required for a candidate with a master’s degree.+
Eligibility Requirements:+ DoD Secret level ClearanceDesired Skills:+ Experience and understanding of the Defense Logistics Agency and the Joint Logistics Enterprise (JLEnt).+ Experience working as a staff action officer in the Defense Department or similar government agency providing support to executive leaders.Location: Hybrid: 3 days per week on average at the Defense Logistics Agency Headquarters Office (8725 John J Kingman Rd, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060).
