We are hiring an experienced Business Development professional with expertise in natural gas markets to drive customer acquisition, sales growth, and strategic partnerships for a private equity backed energy company. This role will focus on identifying and securing new clients in key industries, optimizing sales strategies, and negotiating contracts to support business expansion. Responsibilities Business Development & Sales Strategy Identify and engage potential customers, including data centers, power generation companies, and industrial users. Develop and implement marketing strategies to optimize sales, secure long-term contracts, and maximize margins. Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, prioritizing high-value opportunities aligned with growth objectives. Cultivate relationships with industry stakeholders, including pipelines, utilities, and major energy consumers. Market Analysis & Industry Positioning Stay informed on Texas natural gas markets, pricing trends, and transportation logistics. Analyze market conditions and regulatory developments to identify emerging opportunities. Ensure compliance with industry regulations while promoting cost-effective and sustainable solutions. Represent the company at industry events to enhance visibility and market influence. Client Engagement & Account Management Drive customer engagement to foster long-term relationships and high customer retention. Manage outreach and onboarding for new clients, ensuring smooth integration and satisfaction. Act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers on energy procurement, regulatory compliance, and sustainability initiatives. Deal Structuring & Negotiation Lead negotiations for gas supply and transportation contracts, ensuring commercial and strategic alignment. Develop and maintain long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with clients and industry partners. Manage the full sales cycle, from initial discussions to contract execution, while meeting or exceeding sales targets. Requirements Proven experience in gas supply, marketing, and infrastructure deals, including contract negotiation and execution. Strong knowledge of Texas natural gas markets, pricing structures, and long-haul residue pipelines. Demonstrated ability to build and manage a sales pipeline, identify opportunities, and successfully close deals. Established industry relationships, particularly within data centers, power generation, and industrial gas sectors. Strong execution skills, with the ability to drive deals from initiation to completion. Experience in natural gas transmission, distribution, or marketing. Proficiency in CRM tools, preferably Salesforce. Bachelor's degree required; Business, Sales, or Marketing fields preferred.
