Job Description:Technical Writer/Administrative Specialist will provide Technical writing and administrative support to the M26/Intelligence Enterprise Management Office (IEMO). This position may require occasional overtime and flexibility in work hours to meet project deadlines. The role may involve some travel as needed for project-related activities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical Writing:Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation including user manuals, system documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather information and ensure accuracy of technical contentTranslate complex technical information into clear and concise documentation accessible to both technical and non-technical audiencesEnsure sites and service diagrams are formatted correctly and inserted
Administrative Support:Provide administrative support to senior staff including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating travel arrangementsPrepare reports, presentations, and correspondence for internal and external distributionMaintain organized filing systems and databases to ensure efficient document management
Quality Assurance:Review and revise documents for grammar, clarity, consistency, and adherence to organizational standardsConduct quality checks on documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
Mandatory Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearanceProven experience as a technical writer or in a similar role, demonstrating strong writing skills and attention to detailExperience in providing administrative support such as scheduling, correspondence management, and travel arrangementsProficiency in using document editing and publishing tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat)Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of Defense or Government contracting environmentsFamiliarity with SharePoint or other document management systemsExperience with graphics and illustration software for creating visual aids in documentation
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, or a related field or five years equivalent
