We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 3D Designer with
expertise in process design using AutoCAD Plant 3D
to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our engineering and design projects and responsible for creating accurate and efficient 3D models of industrial processes and equipment. Your work will play a crucial role in optimizing our plant layouts and ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
This role will be performed from our office in Columbus (OH).
Responsibilities and Duties:
Process Modeling: Utilize AutoCAD Plant 3D software to create detailed 3D models of industrial processes, including piping systems and equipment. Plant Layout Design: Collaborate closely with process engineers and project managers to develop optimal plant layouts, ensuring efficient flow of materials and resources. P&ID Integration: Translate Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) into 3D models, ensuring accurate representation of process components and connections. Equipment Specification: Assist in the selection and specification of process equipment, taking into consideration space constraints, safety regulations, and operational requirements. Collaboration: Work in cross-functional teams that include process engineers, mechanical designers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of 3D designs into overall project plans. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular reviews and quality checks of 3D models to ensure accuracy and adherence to project standards. Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation of 3D models, including equipment data, materials lists, and specifications. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve design-related issues and challenges that may arise during the project lifecycle. Other Qualifications:
Experience as a 3D Designer specializing in process design using AutoCAD Plant 3D is an asset. Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D software, including P&ID integration and equipment modeling. Experience with Autodesk REVIT is considered an asset. Understanding of processes, piping systems, and instrumentation. Experience within the food and beverage industry is an asset. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Exposure in a collaborative working environment.
