About Us
At LVIS, our objective is to innovate how neurological diseases are diagnosed and treated through advanced brain network analysis tools. LVIS is a lean team of science researchers, clinical researchers, engineers, and designers from a variety of impressive backgrounds.
The design team was initiated in 2020 and is focused on building the foundation for the first of many planned products. As a Senior UX/UI designer, you will apply principles of design thinking to create intuitive interfaces that directly address the needs of physicians and healthcare professionals. We seek a motivated designer who thinks deeply about problems, embraces ambiguity and complexity, cares about usability and craftsmanship, collaborates well with others, and is excited about our ambitious goals for the future of neuro-imaging.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate closely with the Design Lead, Engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver effective solutions to product requirements.
- Design user flows, identify potential blockers and gaps.
- Iteratively incorporate user feedback and business requirements into your designs.
- Prepare artifacts for user interviews.
- Facilitate user interviews and testing to validate concepts and features.
- Communicate the user experience through user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and detailed specifications.
- Contribute to the development of the design system.
- Partner with Engineering and QA to ensure high-quality implementation of designs.
- Work with the Design Lead to advocate for and improve design processes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Design, or related fields.
- 8+ years of professional experience in product design for desktop or mobile web.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating skills in ideation, interaction, and user research.
- Hands-on experience creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and specifications.
- High initiative and a 'make it work' attitude to bring products from conception to launch with minimal supervision.
- Experience with B2B, enterprise, and/or cloud-based products.
- Experience working iteratively within a lean, dynamic, rapid-growth team.
- Proactive in seeking and implementing feedback.
- Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure, or similar tools.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Skilled in visual and responsive design.
- Experience working with overseas teams.
- Experience in healthcare design.
