The Senior Marketing Manager will lead marketing strategy and tactics for a portfolio of comprehensive drug development services. This role will help tell the story of why Certara Services are critical to the success of new therapeutic development. You will work with world leading scientists and cutting-edge technology to share how Certara's scientific expertise plus enabling technology delivers high impact results and value to the life sciences community. This position is responsible for helping drive new business and sharing success stories about services across the organization. Certara is a high-pace environment, high-growth company. Responsibilities
The Senior Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Marketing and will provide digital marketing strategy and execution for specified Certara services.
The key responsibilities include:
Product Positioning and Messaging
Define core value proposition for key buyer profilesDefine the messaging and positioning for campaigns to support key offerings for both clients and prospectsAnalyze competitor and alternative offerings in the market, assess their strengths and weaknesses, and develop a strategy for winning against the competitionDevelop market segmentation strategies, and ideal customer profiles
Go-to-Market Strategy
Support marketing and go-to-market (GTM) strategy plans, while overseeing the marketing activities for both prospects and clientsDevelop impactful marketing campaigns to support GTM strategic objectivesTrack and report key marketing campaign metricsAdvocate for voice of the customer to inform marketing campaigns
Work collaboratively with sales and stakeholders on service offering launchesWork hand in hand with commercial teams to share, monitor and track results and constantly optimize for maximum lead gen conversion impactContinuously measure, share and adjust based on resultsSelect and support key events that are critical to the brand and the client base for thought leadership
Thought Leadership
Work with stakeholders to identify thought leadership platforms that are meaningful to your service lineWork with subject matter experts and other stakeholders across Certara to develop insightful & compelling content (webinars, blogs, whitepapers, etc.) to influence customers, buyers, industry specialists, research analysts, etc.
Sales Tools/Training
Work closely with sales to understand their challenges and needs relative to selling the offering, and create and maintain sales tools to help sales succeed
Events are a key component of our services strategy. Must be able to run and execute
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, and/or Communications or Life Sciences (Master's degree preferred)5+ years' experience in service marketing positionsStrongly prefer experience in pharmaceutical, contract research organization, or life sciencesStrong oral and written communications skillsMust be able to work independently with little direct supervisionAble to operate in a fast-paced, rapidly changing and growing environmentProven ability to build relationships with internal stakeholdersStrong technical skills including expertise in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, WordPress
