This position requires an experienced professional with accomplished background in software development related to embedded operating systems. Our ideal candidate possesses extended knowledge in complex low-level software systems who can excel in both technical leadership as well as project management aspects. The successful candidate can adapt quickly and contribute to an efficient and stable runtime platform within a fast-paced environment.
The Role
- You will be leading software engineering teams building best-in-class cabin experience information and entertainment systems, with a focus on Android application framework to support variant applications requirements, systems performance, stability, and optimization.
- Lead a talented team of Android framework software developers within the infotainment software organization.
- Ensure teams deliver high quality production code that is safe, well architected, fast, reliable, and testable.
- Work with other engineering leads to ensure reliable and up-to-date documentation.
- Work with your team, technical program managers and external stakeholders to plan, prioritize and execute against an engineering roadmap.
You Bring
- 6+ years experience in Software Engineering.
- Experience guiding the software development team, implementing process, setting, and achieving goals.
- Experience with Android SDK and/or NDK.
- Experience with the Android application framework architecture.
- Proficiency in one or two Android application framework domains.
- Experience in design, coding, debugging Android application framework, automotive infotainment systems as a hands-on leader.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Consistent record of developing products with an eye for simplicity.
- Education: BS or MS in the areas of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Bonus: Experience in automotive software development, knowledge in Wi-Fi and BT security, Open SSL, TLS.
- Experience working with OEM partners.
- MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Salary Range
The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
