Job Description:
Title: Non-Credit Instructor, Business of Photography
Unit: Part-time non-credit instructor
Department: Community Education and Training
Reports to: Dean, Workforce Development and Innovation

General Summary: Middlesex Community College (MCC) has offered non-credit training programs and courses designed for individuals in all stages of life and career. Through the Community Education and Training department, MCC offers short-term, highly focused programs in selected fields to meet the needs and interests of learners to support their careers or personal enrichment. MCC offers both online and on-campus course options at our Bedford and Lowell campuses. We are presently seeking an instructor to teach Business of Photography in our Digital Photography Certificate program at the Bedford campus in the evenings. This program is designed to meet the needs of anyone interested in running a digital photography business, photography, portraiture, and/or digital image-editing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction to individuals in Business of Photography course.
- Create a supportive, interactive learning environment utilizing current best practices and strategies for success.
- Provide students with feedback and guidance for further learning.
- Foster independent thinking, accuracy, and cooperative and collaborative learning.
- Respond to students' questions and promote further inquiry.
- Integrate the use of technology.
- Remain dedicated to academic excellence and inclusivity, serving students of diverse socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
- Meet or exceed requirements established in course descriptions.
- Maintain and submit student attendance records according to department policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Professional experience using a DSL camera.
- Some teaching experience is strongly preferred.
- Business experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience or desire to work with adult learners.
Additional Information:
Salary Range: Actual salary commensurate with academic background and experience.
Location: Bedford Campus with occasional travel to Lowell, as needed.
Hours: Schedule to be determined upon hire.
Expected Start Date: September/October 2025.
