Position Overview We are seeking an experienced
Floral Designer & Production Manager
to lead the floral design and production process for high-end weddings and special events. This role blends artistic vision with hands-on execution and logistical management. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of floral composition, large-scale installations, and sustainable design practices. They must also be a strong leader, capable of managing a team on-site and ensuring flawless event execution.
Key Responsibilities
Floral Design & Creative Execution Execute high-end floral designs that align with the event’s creative direction. Co-Design and oversee foam-free floral installations, ensuring artistic integrity and sustainability. Source premium blooms from local and international growers, prioritizing quality and seasonality. Maintain consistency with the brand’s signature style while introducing fresh, innovative ideas. Work closely with clients, planners, and the design team to bring floral visions to life. Production & On-Site Management Lead floral production, including prepping, conditioning, and arranging flowers. Oversee floral installation, striking a balance between efficiency and creative precision. Ensure proper transportation, handling, and setup of delicate floral elements. Troubleshoot challenges on-site while maintaining composure in high-pressure environments. Direct and mentor a team of floral assistants and freelancers, ensuring streamlined execution. Logistics & Operations Develop and manage production schedules, ensuring timely execution of deliverables. Coordinate with vendors for floral sourcing, rentals, and additional design elements. Maintain an organized and efficient workspace, optimizing workflow in the studio and on-site. Monitor inventory levels and oversee procurement of floral supplies and tools. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 5+ years of experience in high-end floral design and event production. Proven expertise in foam-free floral mechanics and large-scale floral installations. Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively under pressure. Ability to lift heavy floral arrangements and work long event days, including nights and weekends. Keen eye for detail, color theory, and composition in luxury floral design. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to event locations. Preferred Skills
Background in horticulture, fine arts, or event production. Experience working with high-net-worth clients and luxury event planners. Knowledge of sustainable floral practices and eco-conscious event production. Experience in horticulture and floral design Ability to lift in excess of 50lbs Must be willing and able to work outside in all weather conditions Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the retail design business and off-site design projects
