We areempowered to make decisions to that end.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage & assist with Artist’s LX needs on day-of-show, from Load In through Load Out.Be in direct contact with Tour’s Production Manager and/or Lighting Designer via cell phone, email and in person on day-of-show.Safeguard & maintain all venue LX assets in good working order.The ability to work successfully, both as part of a team and independently.A willingness to work across departments & assist with non-LX aspects of production, as necessary.Create a safe, clean, efficient & respectful work environment while exceeding Artist & Patron expectations.Assist in keeping the Neptune Theatre the premier 1,000 cap venue that it is!QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of venue power distribution, lighting control systems, lighting hardware, equipment and proficiency in LX focus & programming techniques.Experience reading LX Plots, Patch Lists, Stage Plots and associated paperwork.Thorough understanding and working knowledge of the GrandMA3 Console and popular LX fixtures.Ability to work within the confines of a production schedule and meet deadlines.A minimum of 2-years’ experience as an LD at comparable live music venue(s).PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Vision or corrected vision close to 20/20 is necessary to effectively perform all aspects of job requirements.Standing/Walking/Lifting/Sitting – about 20% of the time is spent seated at a desk or console.Ability & willingness to work 15+ hour days & lift in excess of 40-lbs at a time.Seattle Theatre Group is an equal opportunity employer.
