Job Description:
*Highland Hospital is seeking a Director of Public Relations. Due to a promotion within our system, we are in need of a new Public Relations Director here @ Highland Hospital.
Some duties include but are not limited to:
The Director of Public relations will provide strategic leadership and oversee Highland Hospital's plan for managing its reputation in the community, manage internal employee communications and manage neighborhood and community relations. Lead all communications and messaging for internal audiences, including employees, physicians, and board of directors (at the discretion of the CEO/COO) and external public relations efforts with integration with ongoing marketing efforts. The position will also provide leadership and direction to a team of communications professionals.
This position is a member of Highland’s senior leadership team, serves as a key business leader on organization-wide strategic priorities, and is responsible for keeping senior leadership and board apprised of external issues and making sound recommendations for managing issues and events. Works in concert with the URMC public relations team to ensure they are aware of developing issues and aligning strategy to ensure consistent system communications and messaging.
Salary Range:
$90,000.00 - 130,000.00 annually
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Job Requirements:
Education: B.S. Degree. Degree in Marketing, Journalism or Public Relations or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Strong writing background; 10-15 years of experience in health care-related Marketing or Communications; Human Resource, Public Relations or Broadcast news or print publication experience a plus.
License/Certification Required: N/A
Skills: Strong speaking, writing, editing, project management skills; knowledge of health care issues; knowledge of PowerPoint is essential; knowledge of SharePoint, InDesign and PhotoShop is helpful
