Position HighlightsThe Athletics Department is dedicated to excellence in collegiate sports, building a modern model of intercollegiate athletics fostering a culture of integrity, innovation, and student-athlete success.The Marketing Specialist II will be responsible for results-based marketing of Arizona Athletics email marketing campaigns and digital strategy, including products or services, using digital assets such as the official athletics website & Arizona Athletics app. They will assist with developing and driving the overall email marketing and digital strategy, including preparing email copy, A/B Testing, creating simple and complex email campaigns, use of marketing automation tools, and data analytics to drive engagement, conversions, traffic, and revenue.
This position requires the ability work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and travel as needed.

Duties & ResponsibilitiesEmail MarketingWrite email copy for assigned sports and build email campaigns for Athletics marketing.Strategically plan and execute e-mail messages designed for specific target audiences with assistance from marketing leads using Eloqua.Responsible for email segmentation and under the director of Asst. Director of Digital Marketing, identifying key target audiences for email campaigns.Coordinate email campaigns included, but not limited to, one-step campaigns, multi-step campaigns, automated campaigns, and A/B Testing.Oversee the master email marketing calendar.Collaborate with Wildcat Club, A-Club, and other Athletics department to maintain branding and email scheduling.Responsible for data review and making decisions on email campaigns based on data compiled.
Digital StrategyCreate methods for developing appealing and effective advertising content for the purpose of generating clicks with intent to purchase.Assist web development of assigned sport ticketing pages including SEO, basic web coding, and marketing language with the intent to maximize revenue.Maintain order for coded tracking links generating revenue.Responsible for upkeep of revenue ads on arizonawildcats.com.Arizona Athletics app assistance.
Create and display unique ways to enhance fan experience and the Arizona Athletics brand concentrating on live event productions appealing to a multi-generational audiences, incorporating key memory recalls that will enhance the Arizona brand.Cultivate relationships with campus partners to identify mutually beneficial programming for Arizona students around home athletic events. Working alongside campus programming and communication teams to find ways to enhance the student experience on campus in a mutually beneficial way.Assist Game Presentation and Fan Engagement team with graphic and video requests for use in email campaigns and digital campaigns.Plan and assist with community outreach and grassroots marketing programs to create excitement for Arizona athletics.Attend meetings and showcase the Arizona brand to the community at large.Additional duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.Three years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree.Three years of experience working in email marketing and/or digital marketing.Experience with the following applications: Eloqua, ticketing solution software, CRM solution software, HTML, social media management system, Google Analytics.
