Communication Specialist I-N – Part-Time
Hourly Range: $26.53

Position Summary
Incumbents’ primary responsibilities include creating engaging content and sharing it across various social channels (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, etc.), updating social media posting schedules, replying to comments from subscribers, staying on top of current social media trends, measuring the success of social media campaigns, developing a social media strategy to enhance branding and engagement, and taking photos and videos for agency events.
The ideal candidate is bilingual (fluent in English and Spanish), self-motivated, a team player, takes initiative, and can be trusted to work independently. The candidate should represent the Sheriff’s Office positively. The position requires strong organizational and multitasking skills, excellent written communication and copywriting skills, and flexibility in schedule to work nights/weekends for community events as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communication, or a related field
- Four years of public relations experience
- Proven work experience with social media and knowledge of search engine optimization are a plus
- Valid driver’s license may be required
