Base pay range
$56.25/yr - $173,000.00/yr
Category-defining products such as Oculus headsets and Ray Ban Meta smart glasses are made possible by advanced audio processing. Meta seeks Audio Applied Scientists to push boundaries and develop technologies connecting the next billion people.
Responsibilities:
- Research, design, and develop advanced speech and audio signal processing algorithms.
- Build specialized machine learning models for resource-constrained platforms.
- Implement and optimize audio processing algorithms for embedded platforms.
- Analyze audio recordings and simulator outputs to improve system performance.
- Develop perceptual audio quality metrics for new product experiences.
- Contribute to roadmap planning for future platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to create and integrate new technologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, completed prior to joining.
- PhD in relevant technical field, completed prior to joining.
- Research or development experience in areas like acoustic echo cancellation, beamforming, noise reduction, spatialization, etc.
- Experience with C/C++ and scientific languages like MATLAB or Python.
- Work authorization in the country of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven innovation through grants, patents, or competitions.
- Experience working cross-functionally in teams.
