The Imagine Group is looking for dynamic and enthusiastic interns who are eager to learn. We have internships available in various departments of our exciting and fast-paced visual communication organization. Midnight Oil works with consumer and entertainment brands to combine cutting-edge printing technology with the latest communication trends to deliver expert made and strategic worldwide campaigns and messaging. As an intern at Midnight Oil, you will have the opportunity to collaborate on creative and production capabilities all under one roof.
As a Motion Designer Intern, you will gain vital experience learning and working with a fast-paced creative and print production agency for the entertainment industry. You will gain insight into the creative efforts of a dynamic creative department. You’ll have the opportunity to be a part of the initial process of a creative project and be able to see the project all the way through to its final stages. An internship with Midnight Oil means hands-on, real-life experience learning from experts in the field of creative branding and print production.
The successful candidate will be passionate about the creative arts, be an excellent communicator, self-motivated, ambitious, and have superb organizational abilities.
Location: Internship will be based out of our Burbank office. This is an onsite role.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with motion team members to help create motion work for entertainment and consumer brand clients from concept to completion. These duties include, but are not limited to:
- Working with Motion Producer to organize client assets.
- Assist Motion Producer with the collection and delivery of final files.
- Works with the Motion team to create edits.
- Organize spec sheets.
- Interact with Account Management teams.
- Help provide quality assurance for all motion deliverables.
- Learn how projects move through all phases of the motion process.
- Support Midnight Oil internal marketing efforts with video content.
- Interact and assist with content capture vendors.
- Shadow team members to develop working knowledge of industry standard software.
- A team player who is willingness to assist with specific tasks that are outside of daily responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university a plus but not required.
- 0-1 minimum years of work experience in the motion design field preferred.
- Knowledge of design fundamentals, including graphic design, typography, photography, illustration etc.
- A basic understanding of necessary design applications including Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
- Creative, passionate, flexible and a self-starter.
- Confident verbal and written communication skills with ability to take direction.
- Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a collaborative spirit.

- Manual dexterity for repetitive work
- Frequent Sitting for prolonged periods of time
The national pay for this role is $20.00 per hour. The pay may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission, or incentive program.
