Apply locations Richmond, California, United States of America time type Full time posted on Posted 2 Days Ago job requisition id R-014801 ABOUT THE POSITION We’re seeking an experienced Sr Graphic Production Specialist that provides graphic design and production needs for projects that support all Marketing disciplines. This individual works cross functionally with the Marketing, Product, Wholesale, and Ecommerce teams. The expectation of this role is to work closely with internal and external partners, ensuring visual concepts are created to support strategic brand and product marketing initiatives. This role will have complete oversight of the marketing look and feel, including budgetary, structural, and agency and partner responsibilities. This role will report to the MHW Art Director. HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE Apply exceptional design skills to create original artwork for two-dimensional and three-dimensional graphic applications for Marketing related materials while meeting timelines and upholding department standards for creativity, accuracy and attention to detail and deadlines. Responsible for executing and producing visual expressions of the brand, including, but not limited to photo, video, animations, iconography and illustrations, both internally and externally. Create large-scale graphic projects such as trade show graphics and in-store signage packages, as well as flagship graphics, sales meeting graphics, and all other corporate collateral. Work with team members and production coordinators to gain input, communicate time frames, follow-up on requests, and produce a final product that meets cross functional needs within MHW brand guidelines. Lead role in key Marketing Graphics initiatives production (Hangtags, Catalogs, POP Signage, Print Ads). Effectively articulate creative concepts for internal and external client approval. Layout, format and proof global brand signage and account specific signage. Responsible for crafting highly conceptual ideas and frameworks that define and align with brand guidelines and seasonal marketing initiatives. Work closely with MHW Art Director to implement the production of design concepts. Produce internal visual communication tools, such as seasonal and brand .ppt and .key templates. Outline, color correct and organize seasonal photo studio and on-location photography. Solve technical file production issues such as color issues, file corruption and application discrepancies. Assist with scheduling production which includes setting deadlines for production packages to be sent to the factories/vendors. Prepare all artwork to be used in the seasonal catalogs, as well as the creation, maintenance, and distribution of CAD books when needed. Maintain positive open lines of communication with cross functional teams, allowing for a smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization. Participates in team meetings and staff meetings to share projects and process. Maintain a high level of project ownership and accountability for visual expression of the brand. Work and directly interact with cross functional marketing managers and creators (i.e., Creative, Ecomm, Product Marketing Manager) to support key seasonal stories and campaigns with deployable assets. Maintain deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously. Intended mix:
50% In-season digital marketing assets (email, social, digital ad sets, etc.) 30% In-season printed design and production (in-store signage, print ads, p.o.p, etc.) 20% Internal Marketing & Brand assets (presentations, visuals, etc.)
YOU ARE Passionate about the outdoors and areas of play like skiing, snowboarding, hiking and camping. Effective at shepherding the design process from creative to production. Successful at directly interacting and building relationships with internal and external collaborators. YOU HAVE Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field or experience. 5+ years professional experience as a Graphic Designer minimum. Outdoor or fashion industry, marketing team or creative agency experience preferred. A link to a portfolio of work demonstrative of design fundamentals, layout chops, and creative sensibilities required in resume or application. Demonstrate a solid understanding of industry and market requirements; design appropriate graphics and create appropriate content for target consumers and retailers that result in sales growth for the company. Excellence in Adobe CS (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effect, Premier, etc.), Apple Keynote and MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and Figma, with the ability to envision a finished product and execute accordingly. Strong motion design skills and ability to maintain and progress MHW brand motion behaviors (speed/personality/pacing) utilizing Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premier. Possess basic hands-on graphic skills such as drawing, cutting, measuring, along with excellence and proficiency in typographic hierarchy, grid systems, editorial layout and custom icon creation for strategic brand solutions. Must have an excellent understanding and critical attention to detail for print, digital production and color. High level of ownership of responsibilities, forward thinker, always working towards elevating brand opportunities. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a team. Highly organized with the ability to prioritize, focus and problem solve in an entrepreneurial, deadline-driven environment. Exceptional communication skills in order to work with remote team seamlessly. Experience in related outdoor or sporting industry is beneficial.
