SUNY Niagara has a need for a part-time instructor of Music for the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences department. Classes are held on the main campus located in Sanborn, NY. Classes are generally held any time between Monday – Friday between the hours of 9am – 6pm. Additionally, during concerts/events, you may need to work on Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons, therefore the successful candidate would need to have a flexible schedule.Typical Work Activities

Ability to work with and teach a student population with diverse backgrounds. Ability to speak in front of groups of people. Must be able to effectively communicate with students, co-workers, supervisors, and the campus community. Must be able to develop, prepare, and present information. Must be able to operate computers and physically perform the duties of the position.Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Music6 years of experience teaching at a college/high school or professional levelAbility to communicate and teach students at all levels of musicianship.Desirable Qualifications
Master’s degree in Music or Doctor of Musical ArtsExperience teaching courses in Guitar, Jazz Band/Ensemble, PianoProfessional performance experienceExperience teaching college-level coursesExperience with instructional technologyAbility to read musicAbout SUNY Niagara
