Salary Range: $75,000 - $78,000
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Audio Visual Systems Manager, the Audio Visual Coordinator provides comprehensive support for AV services for the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs' student labs, electronic classrooms, and audiovisual operations.

Responsibilities
Supporting and maintaining 15+ SIPA electronic/hybrid classrooms and the instructional computer lab, including supporting AV services for programs on the weekends.
Training student consultants to support the E-rooms.
Working with the AV Systems Manager on the installation and configuration of E-rooms.
Running wiring for audio, control cabling to the projector, and connecting PC, laptop, and accessories to Extron switches. Crimping and soldering XLR and Serial type connectors for building new electronic classrooms.
Working with the AV Systems Manager to train SIPA faculty and teaching assistants in the use of the SIPA electronic classrooms.
Assisting media courses with cameras and video editing in the SIPA computer labs.
Working with SIPA IT staff to image and deploy e-room systems and do weekly maintenance and upgrade software on e-room equipment.
Supporting student groups' AV needs for special events.
Providing help desk support for SIPA AV in the evenings and weekends.
Working with the AV Systems Manager to schedule AV and video conference jobs.
Supporting web-based e-learning programs in SIPA electronic classrooms;
Assisting with scheduling AV jobs in the evenings and on weekends.
Maintaining inventory and supplies for AV support.
Assisting the Executive Director with special projects and events.
Performing related duties as requested.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and two years of related work experience.
Knowledge of and experience with AV equipment support and maintenance.
Background and hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and Multimedia/AV software applications.
Experience with cloud-based A/V platforms and A/V recording.
Must have knowledge of current audio and video technologies and understand cable management.
Good communication skills.
Must be able to work on weekends and evenings as needed.
Must be able to handle heavy workflow, and lift and move equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with Extron and video conferencing preferred.
Some experience with imaging, Macintosh/PC hardware preferred.
