Salt Lake Bouldering Project's Marketing Coordinator is a curator of human connection, in both the physical and digital spheres. They are a community builder and communicator who knows how to bring people together. They know how to deliver a message that resonates, particularly on social media and via email communications.
Duties & Responsibilities
Drive membership growth
through the creation and maintenance of customer acquisition and retention routines using our growing contact database and CRM platform (Customer.io).Integrate the gym into the local community
through grassroots marketing such as event tabling and partnership development with schools, non-profits, businesses, affinity groups, etc.Develop and execute marketing plans
for events, products, classes, workshops, sales, etc. in collaboration with the gym leadership team.Create & publish marketing assets
including social media videos, print assets using brand templates, and community newsletters.Drive social strategy
for Salt Lake BP social platforms including content creation, and reporting for Salt Lake BP social platforms.Maintain information accuracy across communication channels
such as the local website, brochures, signage, internal events calendar, etc.Review and analyze data
to make improvements and provide recommendations on marketing strategy and areas of focus.Collaborate with the corporate marketing team
and assist in the local execution of company wide initiatives.Connect
with our local climbers, staff, and community members to foster growth and interest.Requirements
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field preferred.3+ years of experience in marketing, ideally including experience with social media and email marketing.Experience growing a community.Event planning and coordination experience.Availability on nights and weekends.Highly collaborative with excellent written and verbal communication skills.Highly personable, enjoys meeting new people, and talking to groups. Note that you will be expected to attend events in person and frequently interact with members. This is not a job that is behind the computer all day every day.Excellent organizational, project management, and multi-tasking skills, including demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.Self-starter who takes ownership and is able to lead without direct supervision.Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn.Must be passionate about climbing. Bonus if you're already integrated in the local climbing community.Available 30-40 hours per week to start
$24 - $30 an hour
