Compensation & Benefits
This position offers a base salary plus a competitive, quarterly incentive program.
In addition, the selected candidate will be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, vacation and personal days, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
Key Responsibilities
The DOSM will have direct accountability for setting the strategy, delivery and monetization of the hotel’s assets to include, but not limited to, transient and group rooms, banquet and catering revenues, restaurant business, and other revenue opportunities in the hotel.
Lead and direct the development and implementation of strategic sales and marketing plans and initiatives, and interact with prospective and existing clients to solicit, book and secure business.
Prepare and present statistical and performance reports.
Update and present revenue forecasts on a weekly basis.
Partner with Revenue Management to determine sales pricing strategies, set rates and inventory restrictions, establish thresholds, determine space utilization, deploy competitive data strategies, analyze demand and manage market mix.
Monitor and manage team member performance to include providing supervision and professional development, scheduling and deployment, conducting counseling and evaluations, and delivering recognition and rewards.
Collaborate with and support hotel B2B marketing, digital marketing, social media, public relations, and communications activities with support from DHG corporate marketing, Contract PR/Marketing, and Brand Commercial resources.
Participate in ownership and management company meetings, as requested.
Work with fellow Executive Committee members to ensure profits are maximized in line with HOI targets.
Develop and manage the Sales and Marketing departmental expense budget.
Acquire and maintain a detailed and real-time knowledge of all relevant competitors and market activity.
Qualifications
Minimum 8 years experience in Hotel Sales, Catering or Marketing with at least 5 years in a relevant managerial position.
Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Proficiency with Sales & Catering Software, preferably Delphi.fdc.
Proficiency with hotel Property Management Software, preferably OnQ.
Desirable:
Four-year college degree in hotel management or a related field.
Professional training in ssales and customer service.
Certified Meeting Professional designation.
Hilton brand experience and certification.
