The Opportunity:
The Senior Marketing Analyst is responsible for providing analysis, insight and recommendations into all marketing activities, regarding their effectiveness and profitability. The position will coordinate, manage and produce marketing reports and analyses of all marketing activities, including direct mail, email, digital, promotions, customer segments, offers, and other marketing campaigns. As part of this role, the individual will also track and provide insights on business drivers including customer lifetime value and customer segment performance.
What You Will Do:
Provide data driven insights and recommendations for all marketing activities, such as campaign planning/tracking/analysis, customer/client segmentation, customer makeup and any other information as required by business functions and leaders
Monitor the performance of each marketing campaign to support the decision-making process for marketing initiatives
Develop and implement marketing and promotion tests to gain actionable learnings on incremental demand/margin performance
Lead Customer Lifetime Value (CLTV) analysis, customer acquisition/retention analysis, first time buyer vs. repeat buyer performance
Provide actionable insights on daily/weekly/monthly key metrics and customer behaviors to understand key business drivers and support key organizational goals
Utilize your algorithmic/programming toolkit, build predictive/statistical models to drive acquisition, engagement and retention and improve growth and profitability
Automate manual processes and find other efficiencies to better deliver for the business
Support enterprise-wide initiatives and special projects as assigned and execute ad hoc analysis as requested by senior leadership
Build effective relationships with cross functional teams (merchandising, supply chain, finance, account management and data science) to assure data accuracy and integrity as it relates to marketing planning and reporting
Provide cross-training and ongoing guidance for junior team members, including offshore resources
What You Will Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Finance or related field
5+ years of Marketing analysis experience, including evaluating campaign effectiveness, in a retail or financial services environment
5+ years of experience with SAS/SQL and other statistical software platforms
2+ years of experience with Tableau (or other similar data visualization tools), campaign management, CRM, and/or web analytics tools (e.g. Adobe Analytics)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications,including advanced MS Excel skills
Knowledge of marketing principles including direct mail, paid search, display advertising, paid social, word of mouth etc.
Experience with advanced quantitative analytic techniques and protocols (e.g. Marketing Mix models, Price Elasticities, Simulations, SKU Optimization, CLTV, Attribution, Forecasting) used to build necessary business models
Proven experience driving value-added insights in a B2C retail or financial services organization
Understanding of business calculations to determine return on investment, cost per acquisition, profitability, high value segments, and market analysis
Effective storytelling using data and possess strong analytical skills and the ability to manage projects and process end to end with a strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA in Analytics
Experience with Python and R
