Position: Part-Time Floral Designer
We are currently looking for an experienced and creative Floral Designer to join our team at Penny and Irene's Flowers. If you have a passion for floral design, a keen eye for detail, and a love for helping people celebrate special moments, we would love to have you on board. This part-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and friendly environment where you can showcase your floral design skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design custom floral arrangements for all occasions, including weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, funerals, and special events.
- Create stunning displays using fresh flowers, greenery, and other floral materials to meet customer preferences and specifications.
- Assist with flower inventory management, ensuring flowers and supplies are fresh, stocked, and ready for use.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers in-person, over the phone, and via email with their floral needs and recommendations.
- Prepare floral arrangements for delivery or pickup in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure that all floral designs meet the company’s high standards for quality and aesthetic appeal.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.
- Assist with setting up floral displays in the shop and for events as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a floral designer, with a strong portfolio of floral arrangements.
- Strong knowledge of floral design techniques, flower care, and arrangement styles.
- Creative, artistic, and detail-oriented with an eye for color, texture, and design.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, especially during peak seasons.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility with working hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Experience with floral inventory management is a plus.
