*Flexible part-time opportunity, Monday - Friday at our South Milwaukee Manufacturing Plant*
Summary
The Design Platform Clerk supports Steele Solutions operations by working closely with the Design Platform team. The Design Platform Clerk gathers technical documentation related to different projects, and compiles/distributes the pertinent information to the production lines and to the shipping department. The clerk performs other administrative duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prints and organizes drawings, blue prints, specifications and other technical documentation associated to different phases of a project
- Sends Calculations and Drawings to the Engineer of Record or consultant, and once stamped, sends calcs and Drawings to the Customer
- Compiles all the technical documentation (Green Book), and distributes the green books to the production teams at the different plants
- Prepares shipping materials list according to shipping dates. Compiles technical data for installers, and delivers the shipping package (Truck book) to the shipping department to be included with shipments of materials
- Sends copy of complete Truck Books to Project Managers and Engineers
- Updates Truck Books with revisions if directed by Design Platform Supervisors
- Green Book filing and maintenance
- Manages plotter supplies (toner, paper)
- Support other departments as needed (printing, laminating, creating signs and other duties)
- Orders office supplies for the 4 Steele Solutions locations. Monitors and stocks supply cabinets across the locations
Qualifications: Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2-3 years of office experience preferred
General Skills
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 40 lb.
- Proficient Microsoft Office.
