PlayOn is searching for a Creative Director to cast the vision for a cohesive, bold, and relevant brand identity across its different product lines and oversee the team responsible for all marketing design touchpoints. This person will work collaboratively and nurture a strong visual identity that sets the tone for the future of youth sports.
The Creative Director will build and lead a team of designers and creatives, shaping the visual direction of PlayOn and its sub-brands. This role requires strategic vision, expert-level design craft, and exceptional leadership skills. You will be the driving force behind the brand’s evolved identity, creating high-impact digital ads, landing pages, Meta ads, email campaigns, and more. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of conceptualizing bold ideas and translating them into cohesive, effective designs.
The best candidate will have a strong portfolio demonstrating work across various channels such as web, CRM, in-app messaging, social media, display, and video, showing how they’ve brought brand identity to life. Passionate about building a creative culture, you’ll coach your team to deliver excellence, drive business impact, and maintain a top-tier consumer brand experience. You will serve as an internal evangelist for a cohesive brand identity and visual expression.

In this role, you can expect to:
- Set the creative direction and inspire a cross-functional team to deliver impactful, on-brand creative work.
- Develop and maintain a differentiated brand identity for PlayOn and its sub-brands.
- Work with marketing, product, and business teams to develop creative concepts supporting campaigns and brand positioning.
- Oversee the design of digital assets like Meta ads, email campaigns, landing pages, and social media graphics.
- Use data to inform creative decisions and optimize campaign performance.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of designers, fostering a collaborative culture.
- Introduce innovative approaches such as interactive content and video storytelling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute creative initiatives seamlessly.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging design technologies.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years in senior marketing creative roles, with 5+ years managing a high-performing team.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating leadership across various marketing channels.
- Experience in growing and leading creative teams, fostering collaboration, and motivating excellence.
- Ability to think strategically and balance creativity with business goals.
- Expertise in brand development, visual design, motion, animation, and responsive UX design.
- Proficiency in modern design software (Sketch, Figma, etc.), and basic video production skills.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred. In-house design experience is a plus.
