A Video System Engineer is responsible for assembling and managing systems both in shop and on site. They may serve as the lead engineer on small to medium-sized shows. Staying current on all equipment and training is expected.
Essential Functions
- Assist in any position as needed to ensure an exceptional client experience.
- Ensure business goals, deadlines, and performance standards are met.
- Organize and monitor work processes while maintaining safety standards to accomplish department objectives.
- Understand and comply with company policies.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Operating knowledge of related systems required.
- Ability to build and execute system designs.
- Ability to engineer small to medium-sized shows on site.
- Team player willing to assist any position as needed.
- 5+ years of engineering experience.
- Knowledge of all related office systems (Microsoft Office suite).
Required Education And Experience
- At least 5 years of industry-related project management and coordination experience.
- 2 years of post-secondary education preferred.
- Working knowledge of entertainment technology and equipment.
- Understanding of entertainment design principles and practices.
- Attention to detail, proficiency in math, and experience with AutoCAD/Vectorworks, MS Office.
Physical Demands
- Regularly lift/move objects 10-50 lbs; occasionally lift/move objects over 100 lbs.
- Frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Exposure to follow spots, moving lights, loud noises, fumes, moving mechanical parts, vibration.
- May operate motor vehicles and load/unload trucks.
- Work in various weather conditions including extreme heat, humidity, and cold.
Travel Required
- Travel to on-site systems and facilities, approximately 50% of the time.
- Valid Passport and Driver’s License required.
