Pura Vida Miami is seeking its first Vice President of Marketing to deliver forward-thinking, data-driven marketing that supports and strengthens its ambitious goals. Reporting to the Chief Brand Officer Jen Horev, this leader will oversee all aspects of marketing except brand and design, with a strong focus on driving guest conversion and engagement across digital and physical platforms. They will lead and cultivate an existing team, instilling a culture of high performance and analytical rigor. The ideal candidate has a proven track record leveraging MarTech, digital advertising, and data analytics to connect with diners and grow the restaurant business. They possess strong business judgment, strategic vision, and the ability to blend high-level leadership with hands-on execution. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of the restaurant industry, its clientele, and the ability to thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment. The Vice President of Marketing must have a genuine connection to Pura Vida Miami’s mission of health and wellness and believe in the brand’s potential. Specifically, the Vice President of Marketing will be responsible for: Strategic Vision and Leadership : Owning Pura Vida Miami’s overall marketing strategy alongside the Chief Brand Officer, crafting a compelling vision and actionable goals that bring the brand to life, engage customers, and drive business results. Transforming the marketing function into a data-centric operation that uses analytics to improve performance, increase transparency, personalize experiences, activate organic traffic, and foster guest loyalty. Revamping internal systems, workflows, and accountability frameworks to empower the marketing team for greater efficiency and impact. Championing new technologies, tools, and capabilities to enhance marketing outcomes. Planning and managing marketing strategies for new locations and emerging markets that are localized yet cohesive with the brand. Monitoring the competitive landscape, testing new approaches, and adopting best practices. Leading change management initiatives with cross-functional teams and communicating regularly to ensure alignment on vision and strategy. Digital Strategy and Execution : Directing innovative campaigns and guest-centric messaging across paid, owned, and partner platforms, including websites, apps, and delivery platforms. Overseeing growth marketing efforts and optimizing paid media spend using performance data, including A/B testing and audience segmentation. Designing and launching a comprehensive guest loyalty program focused on engaging and personalized incentives. Optimizing third-party delivery strategies to enhance visibility, reach, and loyalty while managing platform fee structures. Planning and executing cost-effective media and messaging strategies to achieve sales growth. Partnering with strategic collaborators to expand audience reach and create new experiences or add value to existing programs. Insights and Data Analytics : Defining and tracking KPIs to evaluate campaign effectiveness and drive continuous improvement, focusing on guest acquisition, conversion, engagement, and satisfaction. Implementing processes to organize and leverage customer data for actionable insights, customer lifecycle management, and targeted engagement. Analyzing customer data to identify retention and revenue opportunities, understanding customer behavior across segments. Developing reporting metrics to assess customer retention, repeat behavior, and engagement, refining marketing strategies accordingly. Promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making to enhance guest satisfaction and profitability. Conducting market research to identify trends and consumer preferences, integrating findings into marketing initiatives. Brand & Creative : Partnering with the brand team on initiatives like graphic design, event activations, and collaborations. Ensuring brand consistency across all marketing channels and customer touchpoints. Collaborating with culinary, operations, retail, and purchasing teams on menu projects. Managing marketing and creative briefs, promotional calendars, and campaign reporting. Providing creative input on brand assets, multi-channel content, and production. Supporting marketing efforts for new store openings and growth markets. Supporting PR initiatives to maximize earned media and cultural relevance. Partnering with agencies, developers, and project teams to improve UI/UX on website and mobile app. Team Leadership and Development : Building and leading a high-performing marketing team, offering guidance, mentorship, and growth opportunities. Managing team operations, including resourcing, hiring, and vendor relations. Cultivating an innovative, collaborative culture aligned with Pura Vida Miami’s mission and values. Budgeting, Reporting, and Administration : Managing marketing budgets to maximize ROI and achieve results. Preparing reports and presentations for senior management to evaluate marketing impact. Regularly assessing digital performance and sharing insights through metrics, goals, and testing frameworks. Collaborating with analytics partners to develop dashboards and automate data outputs. Maintaining relationships with external partners and vendors to support omnichannel marketing efforts. REQUIREMENTS : Strong understanding of the restaurant industry, with a passion for food and guest experience, and knowledge of business levers. Experience with paid marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, CRM, CMS). Deep knowledge of restaurant-specific MarTech platforms (e.g., OLO, Punchh, Wisely) and experience with solution roadmaps. Executive presence with the ability to create and execute results-focused strategies. Proven success managing agencies and influencing decision-making. Innovative, nimble, and driven to challenge norms and explore new approaches. Experience working in fast-paced, resource-limited environments, preferably within emerging brands. High energy, confidence, and motivation, with leadership through change. A collaborative leadership style with clear objectives, effective delegation, and recognition of performance. Ability to manage organizational change effectively. Flexibility to serve as an individual contributor, team leader, and collaborator as the company evolves.
