JOB TITLE: Program Expeditor
DEPARTMENT: Research and Development
REPORTS TO:
Research and Development Manager
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Support Knight's Armament Company by managing internal programs and projects from initiation to close to ensure on time deliveries and program / project success.
SPECIAL TRAINING NEEDED:
Knowledge of ERP system preferred.Knowledge of production process preferred..EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Experience with program / project management preferred.Computer skills & knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).Strong attention to detail, written & verbal communication skills.Initiative to work with minimal supervision to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain organization.DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:
•Manage new internal programs and parts through the creation and manufacturing process.•Interact with all departments to ensure parts are flowing through the processes required to maintain project and internaldeliverable timeliness (i.e. R&D, engineering, quality, manufacturing and production, report concerns or delays tomanagement).•Create and maintain documents to track programs / projects from individual parts to purchased parts to testing.•Follow up to ensure work orders are being created and completed on time, parts are being purchased and parts are going toassembly on time to maintain schedule and deliveries.•Assist with increasing effectiveness and efficiency in parts processes.•Develop and oversee work plans and schedules to provide regular updates to ensure program / project success.•Work with production to maintain time schedules of programs / projects.•Prepare and maintain weekly reports on progress and any potential problems or time line creep.•Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control,maintenance, and other operational reports to detect production problems.•Proven ability to exercise independent judgment, effectively prioritize, and execute tasks while under pressure.•Coordinate and track new sales orders, Manufacturing, Procurement, Assembly and test, and trace delivery dates.•Performs additional duties as assigned by management.•Maintain the confidentiality of Knight Enterprises Management, LLC designs, data procedures and processes.
