Don't want a product designer making apps, they are making design systems for other teams to use
Extending design systems, Figma component functions and advanced Figma
Producing 3rd version of their design system and rolling it out
Help with inbound requests for Figma components and strategy
Build the design systems that supports all the applications
Core component library that features around 100 components, data grid library - helping extend existing components or create new components
AG grid in Figma would help
Don't want someone who wants leadership type roles - this role will be assisting the team as they don't have enough capacity
Wants people who are passionate about design and design systems

Project Overview:
The Client Design System team is looking for a UX designer with experience in design systems to join our team focused on supporting multiple product redesign and re-platformings. We're a large, highly collaborative team working on a suite of complex products as part of Experience Design & Research.
Experience Design & Research is a multidisciplinary design and research team dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences to clients, prospects and employees by demonstrating a deep understanding of their needs. Experience Design & Research is committed to growing and supporting an inclusive team, with a collaborative environment rooted in anti-bias that provides educational and career growth opportunities.
Designers on the Client Design System assist in scaling visual and pattern systems across enterprise products and play an important role in evolving the Design System by tending to our shared asset libraries, establishing best practices and patterns that center accessibility, and supporting implementation of the Design System product.
Contractor's Role:
As part of a product design team within a larger business group you will have many responsibilities, but also variety, which keeps it lively. This team is also a part of the larger internal design team, which is great for exposure to other projects and expanding your experience.
Experience Level:
1-3 years of Figma experience with a year or more of design system experience preferred.
Qualifications (must haves):
•Proficiency and speed in building and maintaining Figma asset libraries
•Skilled in defining properties, styles/variables, nested/base components and documentation within Figma
•Awareness of design system best practices
•1-5 years of professional UX/UI experience, working within an enterprise or agency environment
•Experience creating desktop / responsive web applications
•Strong communication and conceptual thinking abilities
•A portfolio of user interface design and design systems work that demonstrates cross-discipline collaboration, user-centric processes, systems-thinking and interaction strategy across web and/or native applications
•A self-driven and curious individual who thrives in collaborative brainstorming, problem solving, and knowledge sharing
Nice-to-Haves:
•Crafts holistic, clear solutions to abstract UX problems - within the constraints of an established design system
•Strong finishing or "ready to publish" skills: works with organized pages, layers and documentation within Figma
•Understands design tokens and how to apply/work with them in Figma
•Experience working within established design systems
•Experience in storyboarding/writing, data visualizations, animation, usability studies
•Financial services experience is nice to have, but not required
Tasks and Responsibilities:
•Working closely with design system team members to maintain, evolve and further create our assets and pattern libraries in Figma
•Creating inclusive, accessible components and publishing best practice documentation; for use across product teams
•Implement brand-appropriate design based on existing design systems and UX best practices
•Create production-ready UI that represents the approved design, and collaborate with developers to build a good experience
