This position is responsible for growing the York Design Group (YDG) residential sales in the defined territory with new and existing customers. This role will serve as the primary relationship owner for all key accounts (Designers, Decorators, Builders, Paint & Wall Retailers) with responsibility for retention and growth to ensure maximum growth potential. Additionally, this role must have a deep understanding of the YDG product portfolio & processes to achieve the most effective customer experience that aligns with the corporate strategies and goals.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Achieve the assigned sales and profitability targets, while maximizing sales of brands and products within assigned territoryManage Key Accounts; develop positive working relationships with all customer touch pointsDevelop and execute a comprehensive territory plan to drive sales and profitabilityAlways representing as a brand ambassador by providing the best in class customer service to offer the highest quality product and customer experienceWork closely with Customer Service to determine root causes for customer success or failure and drive requirements for product or process enhancement and development as neededCollaborate with internal cross-functional teams to understand customer goals, maximize sales and key performance metrics and exceed those goals throughout the campaignLeverage sales reporting tools to understand and increase territory salesProvide continuous feedback and collaboration with the leadership team outlining market trends, product gaps and new opportunitiesPerform product presentations to Key Accounts and their clients as requiredDevelop & sign-up new Designers with the appropriate Book plan to maximize salesDaily interaction with clients to identify their project / business needs and collaborate to build on going working relationshipIdentify and close new sales/account opportunities through vigorous prospecting and establish relationships with key decision makersProvide input to the competitive position of the organization's products and/or services and communicate findings with appropriate teammatesParticipate in marketing activities including trade shows, promotional events, and industry conferences.Seek and develop new business opportunities through trade affiliations, industry functions such as markets, lines showings, mailers, trade publications, social and professional networkingProvide timely communication of key sales activities and important developments with key accountsManage and control all sales expenses (operating, travel & entertainment, promotional)Requirements
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experiencePrevious sales management experience with proven growth resultsExperience or background in wallcovering, home decor or a similar industryDemonstrated history of key account sales and successful business developmentExceptional time management and organizational skillsAbility to lead and motivateStrong presentation and communication skills; both verbal and writtenAbility to produce results independentlySolid strategic planning and execution skillsCapable of driving revenue through all sales channelsWORKING CONDITIONS
Remote or home office70% of time to be spent traveling and client facing, through product presentations, project consolations and business updatesAdditional travel, at the discretion of the department manager, may be required based on demand or business opportunity at the timeLICENSE OR CERTIFICATION
Valid driver's license
Salary Description
$70,000-$85,000 Annually
