SEO ENGINEERING SERVICES
Description:
This engineering services will manage and work with the following engineering
programs and projects:
1) Ford Reman Engine Engineering Program Management
a. V6 Engine Families
b. I4 Engine Families
c. V8 Engine Families
2) The position will be hybrid at the Ford DSC1 and Work from Home
Project management skills are necessary to be successful in this engineering role.
Ford Service Engineering Organization (SEO) plays an important role in Ford’s
revitalization as a modern, progressive vehicle and mobility services company delivering
a trusted customer experience. Services entail vast depth of knowledge and expertise in
implications of data and taking actions based on those, as well as have a passion for
the lifetime value of a customer. Ford SEO embraces an audience-first mindset and
way of doing business that improves customer loyalty, vehicle repurchase, as well as
additional sales of vehicles, parts, accessories, and services.
Deliverables:
• Manage all major, minor, and carryover programs until Engineering complete for
assigned engine families.
• Develop/Maintain Bill of Materials via CMMS
• Create & Manage Powertrain Core Groups (Reman SAP)
• Develop/Deliver Attrition (Retail) Reduction Projects
• Support Backorder Reduction Activities: i.e. core conversions, alternative parts,
alerts, etc.
• Manage Supplier Request for Engineering Approval on material changes.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science Degree Engineering Discipline
• 5+ years’ experience in design and release of functional components and
systems integration
• Familiarity with engineering and design of automotive parts and systems
• Working knowledge of Team Center and TcVis Mockup
• Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with resolving complex issues and effectively communicating to
management.
• Knowledge of Ford Systems: WERS, GPDS
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience developing, designing, releasing, and validating vehicle accessory
products.
• Understanding of automotive networks – FEDE Application, Team Center, WERS
• Experience with interpreting 3D models and reading 2D prints
• Technical aptitude, desire to learn.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teams.
• Knowledge of engineering disciplines; Six Sigma, DFMEA, DVP, Certification
Testing, GD&T, DFM.
• Knowledge and experience using the Ford Global Product Development Systems
