About the Team and Role:
The Senior Manager, Marketing Operations & Data, will be a critical member of the Growth team at Pinecone, responsible for optimizing marketing operations, managing data strategies, and driving efficiency through data-driven insights. This role requires a deep understanding of marketing technologies, data management, and process optimization to support Pinecone’s growth objectives.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Lead Management and Sales Alignment:Understand and manage the complexities of lead scoring and routing for PLG (Product-Led Growth) companies, ensuring leads are effectively presented to front-line sales reps.Optimize the campaign response-to-MQL (Marketing Qualified Lead) process, enhancing lead management, routing, scoring, and nurturing in collaboration with sales and marketing teams.Own and update pricing calculator and sheet for sales team, including working with the Product team to ensure the integrity of the pricing and delivery. Triage requests from the sales team for ad-hoc pricing changes.
Top-of-Funnel Strategies:Possess deep expertise in top-of-funnel strategies and processes that drive conversion and meaningful pipeline growth.Audit and enhance marketing’s data strategy to manage lead lists, data enrichment, and form handling across all channels.Ensure data integrity and accessibility across all marketing functions.A strong track record of running and analyzing A/B tests across multiple channels.
Privacy and Compliance:Define and deploy privacy and consent management procedures to maintain compliance with regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.Ensure all marketing operations adhere to privacy and data protection standards.
Data Management and Analysis:Work with the data team to operationalize integration of data warehouse and GTM tools.Collaborate with the data team to create and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key marketing metrics, providing insights and recommendations to improve performance.Able to synthesize fast and accurate ad hoc analysis of current marketing campaigns and programs.Translate complex data into meaningful insights that drive business outcomes and support strategic decision-making.
Marketing Technology and Operations:Manage the marketing operations budget and technology renewals, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with strategic goals.Direct the development and delivery of training programs to ensure the marketing team is proficient in using marketing technologies and processes.Enhance operational efficiency by optimizing processes and implementing best practices in marketing operations and front end marketing tools.
Strategic Planning and Budget Management:Align the marketing organization’s annual and quarterly targets with Pinecone’s sales organization to ensure cohesive and integrated efforts.Manage change effectively by communicating and aligning on operational changes and new initiatives across the marketing organization.
Requirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing operations or data management.Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Marketing Operations and/or Marketing Data Analysis.Proven experience in writing SQL queries and operationalizing them in marketing platforms.Strong understanding of lead scoring, routing, and presentation to sales teams in a PLG company context.Demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable insights that drive business outcomes.Expertise in top-of-funnel strategies and processes for pipeline growth.Experience in defining and deploying privacy and consent management procedures for compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other regulations.Extensive knowledge of marketing technologies and data management practices.Proven track record in process optimization and operational efficiency.Excellent communication and change management abilities.
Bonus Points:Strong familiarity with Salesforce, Hubspot, BI Tools (i.e. Metabase, Sigma) and reverse ETL tools (i.e. Hightouch, Airflow).Experience in creating and managing marketing dashboards and reports.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong preference for previous experience in AI/ML/Data/Developer-centric companies.Prefer early stage startup experience.

Compensation Range:
$115K - $140K
