Second Baptist School is seeking an ARTS EVENT PLANNER for the 2025-2026 school year.
- Position Title: Arts Event Planner
- Reports To: Director of Arts
- Work Hours: 7:30 AM - 4 PM
- Additional evening/weekend hours (approximately 115 hours)
- Flexible start time on event days

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Schedule all facility requests for the Arts Department.
- Assist with preparations and arrangements for special events, shows, concerts and projects.
- Serve as the point person for musical and theatre productions using ticketing platforms.
- Monitor and report ticket sales.
- Document and implement marketing ideas for shows, concerts and theatrical performances.
- Assist with setup and scheduling of Art Patrons Board meetings.
- Organize priority seating for Arts Patrons, Director’s Circle members and underwriters during events.
- Plan and proof print materials for events.
- Greet visitors, answer phone calls, manage all incoming and outgoing mail, and assist the director of arts with correspondence.
- Maintain calendar/schedule for the director of arts. Coordinate the scheduling of department meetings and prepare meeting agendas.
- Attend all departmental meetings, taking notes and distributing minutes when necessary.
- Maintain department records and files, which may include confidential information.

- Responsible stewardship of the school’s resources and commitment to support the school’s fundraising efforts as able.
Prior knowledge of Second Baptist Church and School is considered a plus.

- Festival of Christmas: Dec 9
- Fall Art Show: Dec 9-11
- US Musical: Feb 27-March 1
- 5th & 6th Grade Musical: April 16
- Spring Art Show: Apr 28-30
- Spring Instrumental Concert: May 5
- Arts Board Meetings: September, November, January, March, May
