Summary/Objective Responsible for utilizing Computer Aided Design (CAD) and other software to model, coordinate, and prepare detailed drawings for mechanical systems. Essential Functions Generate mechanical pipe models based on project specifications, design drawings, control diagrams, submittals, RFIs, and modeling software. Update drawings, models, specifications, RFIs, change orders, and submittals throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with the build and design team to prevent construction errors due to design flaws. Manage time effectively across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Work with trades, project management, site superintendents, and shop personnel to identify and resolve problems. Create and communicate RFIs specific to projects and trades. Manage spools, fabrication drawings, site installation maps, and control documentation. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibility No supervisory responsibilities. Minimum Requirements 5-7 years of experience in mechanical piping and process pipe trades or equivalent vocational training, OR 5+ years of BIM experience using Revit, CAD MEP, and Navisworks Manage. Ability to multi-task, work independently, follow instructions, and demonstrate problem-solving skills. Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks. Adherence to company policies and procedures. Availability to work assigned schedules. Work Environment & Physical Demands The work environment includes a professional office setting and potential visits to construction sites. Physical demands include routine use of standard office equipment. Travel May require infrequent travel, typically not overnight. Additional Requirements Prior military experience preferred.
