Overview
The Senior Manager of Social Media supports the agency and the social team in paid and organic social strategies and campaigns. This role defines the clients' approach, utilizing best practices and actionable insights to inform channel-specific strategies across owned and paid social platforms.
MDG follows a hybrid work model of Monday/Friday remote and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in our Boca Raton office. Our scheduled work hours are 9a-6p. • Partner in the development of clients' paid and organic social media campaign objectives based on larger strategic imperatives and brand goals • On your roster of clients, oversee the paid strategy as it relates to targeting, research, ad copy development, and KPIs with consideration for campaign outcomes beyond deep content engagement and conversion • Possess a strong passion and expertise for buying in-platform - particularly across Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn and Pinterest. This role involves strategic and detailed in-platform management with daily optimization and budget management required. • Utilize social audience and other platform research and insights to develop approach and tactics that meet business goals • Suggest to clients the correct approach to best reach business objectives through social media, acting as a trusted leader in the face of internal and external teams • Proactively identifies opportunities for optimization and expansion • Partners with the media team to establish knowledge of social processes and best practices in social channels for both organic and paid • Cultivating a deep knowledge of social media behaviors across consumer segments, platforms and vertices, used to inform how MDG's clients advertise and engage across channels • Ability to proactively solve problems, improve processes, create efficiencies, and contribute to POVs and team thought leadership • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. • Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements • Bachelor's degree in marketing or advertising or related field is required • 5+ years of experience in social media strategy, including paid management, organic social management, community management, and analytics across multiple platforms • Tactful and diplomatic communication skills; internal, external, formal and informal written, and verbal • Must be willing to go above and beyond to ensure clients' issues and requests are sufficiently resolved • Manages multiple tasks and tight deadlines with confidence and ease • Organized and pays attention to every detail • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills • Experience managing and growing social media accounts
