Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Plumbing Designer to join an established and fast-paced engineering team. This role involves developing innovative, code-compliant, and sustainable plumbing system designs for a wide variety of commercial and residential projects. You will work under the supervision of the Senior Plumbing Engineer and play a critical role in ensuring project success from concept to construction. This is an on-site position based in Miami, FL, offering a great opportunity for professionals with strong Revit expertise to be a part of a collaborative team delivering high-impact work.
Key Responsibilities: Design & Drafting: Create comprehensive plumbing designs and technical drawings using Revit with precision and adherence to all relevant codes and standards. Project Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to ensure plumbing systems are well-integrated into the overall building plans. Code Compliance: Stay updated on local, state, and national plumbing codes to ensure all designs meet regulatory requirements. Sustainability Integration: Incorporate eco-friendly solutions such as low-flow fixtures, greywater systems, and rainwater harvesting technologies. Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation including system layouts, specifications, and installation instructions. Construction Support: Provide technical assistance during project implementation and help resolve on-site design issues. Quality Assurance: Review designs for accuracy, feasibility, and compliance; assist in internal QA processes to maintain excellence in project delivery. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Systems Design, or a related field (preferred). Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Revit in plumbing system designnon-negotiable requirement. Advanced knowledge in REVIT. Deep understanding of plumbing codes and industry standards (e.g., IPC, UPC, ASPE). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and a team-first mindset. Knowledge of sustainable plumbing technologies and LEED standards is a plus.
