Based in Irvine, CA, The Senior Director of Marketing for US Surgical Vision will join and lead a capable team composed of dedicated and hardworking individuals. The Senior Director of Marketing will be responsible for the overall development and implementation of US commercial strategies, while leading all core promotional activities. The position leads Product Managers, Marketing Communications, , and Manager for Customer Engagement. The Senior Director of Marketing will report to the Vice President of US Sales & Marketing.
The Senior Director of Marketing will cultivate strong partnerships with multiple functions including Global Strategic Marketing, Sales, Education, Training, Prof Ed, Sales Operations, Finance, Strategic Accounts, Research & Development, Corporate Communications, and outside agencies and vendors to effectively build and execute key commercial activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop integrated business plans and long-range strategic plans for the US, Johnson & Johnson Surgical Vision.
Create "Brand" launch plans inclusive of product requirements, product branding and positioning, and short, medium, and long-term sales forecasting.
Identify, develop, and execute key promotional strategies and tactics.
Establish and drive execution with the sales organization to achieve market development and market share objectives.
Manage the marketing budget to support business financial objectives.
Plan, schedule, and complete product launches aggressively, consistent with business objectives.
Collaborate with Global Strategic Marketing and Cataract and Refractive teams to develop strategies and identify synergies across the Johnson & Johnson Vision Franchise.
Partner with Medical Affairs to identify and collaborate with prominent KOLs representative of business strategy.
Provide marketing guidance and support to the Global Marketing teams.
Cultivate strong partnerships with multiple functions, including Global Strategic Marketing, Sales, Education, Training, Prof Ed, Sales Operations, Finance, Strategic Accounts, Research & Development, Corporate Communications, and outside agencies and vendors to effectively build and execute key commercial activities.
Adhere to environmental policy, procedures, and support department environmental objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required; MBA strongly preferred.
A minimum of 10-15 years of marketing experience, with a preference for medical device experience.
Demonstrated experience in critical marketing competencies.
Proven track record in downstream marketing with successful launch execution.
People leadership experience with expertise in effective change leadership and change management skills.
Comfort with ambiguity and high learning agility.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovation-focused environment.
Strong ability to actively develop talent and culture to achieve results.
Outstanding communication, collaboration, and influence skills.
Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to work effectively in a matrix and unstructured environment.
Broad business acumen and P&L orientation.
Approximately 25% domestic travel required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $163,000 to $282,900.
