We are looking for a UX Manager to lead and grow a high-performing team of UX professionals—working collaboratively with user research, engineering, and product management through all aspects of the product development life-cycle. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of delivering against a vision and supporting their team's growth. To succeed in this role, you must have high judgement, be an innovative self-starter in driving operational excellence, and a strategic big-picture thinker who leads through others. You must demonstrate effective collaboration through your engagement with stakeholders and partnering managers.
Key job responsibilities *Grow and lead a talented team of designers responsible for end-to-end AB Payments experiences. *Manage the user experience design of multiple mid-to-large-sized programs through leading a design team. *Cultivate and maintain frameworks and mechanisms that increase the propagation of high-quality designs while focusing designer time on the most complex, impactful work. *Model behavior that exemplifies Amazon Leadership Principles and raise the design bar for the organization. *Provide coaching and feedback, with an emphasis on growing ICs and leadership capability. *Drive operational excellence across the team that cultivates a positive environment and inclusive culture. *Partner with leaders across disciplines (marketing, product, tech, research, writing) to define the strategic direction and design resourcing needs. *Support and contribute to Amazon Business UX team broader mechanisms.
A day in the life You will be managing a team and working closely with leaders and teams across product, engineering, and design. You will also build key partnerships with stakeholders from both the Consumer Payments org and other AB teams. Your peers will be other UX managers who are all addressing facets of the AB experience.
About the team Amazon Business UX (ABUX) is a large, close-knit team of designers, researchers, writers, and technologists with hubs in Seattle, Austin, and Madrid. Our products are used daily by the more than 8M business customers who purchase products on Amazon Business (https://business.amazon.com). From small sole proprietorships to large enterprises with multiple locations and roles, we are unlocking opportunities across the procurement lifecycle and helping businesses and organizations thrive.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of design experience - 3+ years of leading design teams experience - Experience managing teams - Experience leading design teams in problem definition, artifact rendering, cross-functional collaboration and delivery, and user validation and measurement - Experience with a variety of design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Visio, Axure, and Dreamweaver PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working cross-team and synthesize feedback and input from product management, engineering, testing, and marketing - Experience with agile/scrum

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $225,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
