What you will be doing:The Specialist, Contract Communications collaborates and provides support on the strategy planning and implementation of individual category contract communications as assigned. Due to the multitude of service lines and category communications that are simultaneously in progress, the specialist must have excellent time and resource management skills to produce high quality results in high-pressure situations within extremely quick turn-around times.
Key Responsibilities#1 - 60%Implements direction assigned for category communications
Attends all sourcing meetings, including face to face meetings, as relevant to assigned category communications
Engages the collaboration of others as needed to fulfill requirements for successful launch materials and implementation
Works closely with internal partners to meet 90-day notification metric
Incorporates the needs of the member into communication deliverables
Research differences in products amongst suppliers; going to suppliers' sites and pulling data; trade associations; healthcare or non-healthcare
#2 - 20%Posts materials within content management system
Assists/maintains communications across multiple delivery channels
Support conference calls, webcast logistics, newsletters and all strategies (Digital Communications, Technology / Process Improvement and External/Internal Operations / Customer Relations)
Other administrative duties as requested
Participate in quality control initiatives to continuously improve the process and deliverables
Review and provide feedback on deliverables developed by teammates

Education:High School Diploma or GED

Preferred QualificationsSkills:Basic online research skills; ability to write search terms, research online and locate niche information
Basic technical writing skills as assessed by candidate writing test. (example - 3 suppliers with same product function... ability to research and write with various degrees of knowledge with product and its use. Why it's used and where it's used)
Basic use of Windows platform; ability to operate in and navigates various software.
Basic understanding of the differences between a clinical and a non-clinical category communication
Basic editing skills; ability to learn Premier's corporate content guidelines and apply them
Ability to learn CAMS (our internal application supplier and product information system)
Ability to understand the changing healthcare environment and needs of Premier members and incorporate these needs into valuable, actionable materials
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong collaboration and partnership skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including technical writing; ability to communicate verbally with an array of levels and functions within the organization
Excellent Microsoft Office skills; especially Microsoft Word
Ability to learn to navigate content publishing software with assistance.
Solid track record of performance on deadline
Ability to learn and gain a basic understanding of sourcing technology platform (PASSport) -- can go in and navigate to find what is needed
Understanding of key resources that accompany a category communication
Ability to create communication materials in a confined timeline in a collaborative manner with several internal stakeholders/partners
Basic project management skills
Ability to research, gather and synthesize multifaceted information with audiences of different levels at a holistic approach
Basic use of Adobe Creative Suite and Digitial Communications(preferred)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Experience:Technical writing, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Healthcare Administration or related discipline

Demonstrated writing experience that showcases the ability to research, gather, and synthesize data into a user friendly format

Working Conditions: Air conditioned office space
Travel Requirements: Travel 1-20% within the US

Premier's compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees.
Premier's internal salary range for this role is $43,000 - $79,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location.
