Overview The Vice President oversees the strategy of media campaigns across multiple channels. This person is a leader who contributes to brand strategy, builds solid relationships with clients and internal teams at all levels, and facilitates ongoing education for internal teams and clients. They identify new revenue growth opportunities and provide team management, strategic insight, and thought leadership to guide current and future campaigns.
Responsibilities
Independently own all aspects of the media strategy formation process.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of current media industry news and brand business, focusing on upstream initiatives.
Ensure the team delivers sound strategic media recommendations aligned with brand objectives.
Lead the team and manage day-to-day client interactions, building and growing client relationships.
Apply experience to elevate strategic thinking and set learning agendas.
Write and deliver strategies and POVs, overseeing their translation into audience recommendations/plans.
Collaborate with analytics, research, and operations teams to ensure effective implementation.
Analyze client audience strategies and lead business case development.
Foster team collaboration, communication, and project management to ensure timely execution.
Provide vision, direction, and support to team members to align their work with company goals.
Demonstrate deep technical understanding and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred, in marketing, advertising, communications, business, sociology, or consumer insights.
10+ years of media experience with increasing responsibilities.
Ability to strategize campaign planning from audience determination to execution, aligning with client KPIs.
Strong analytics skills to inform and validate strategies.
Experience in media opportunity identification, presentation, and execution.
Experience in monitoring and improving media planning processes.
Familiarity with best-in-class media tools, techniques, and systems.
Portfolio management experience for large brands.
Excellent communication, diplomacy, relationship-building, and decision-making skills, with creative thinking ability.
