What you’ll do:Work iteratively and collaboratively with a cross-disciplinary team (product owners, developers, researchers), using lean and agile methodologies to explore, test, and implement designs.Propose ideas and build new features that give customers the confidence to purchase products and services from Amazon.Create sketches, flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high fidelity mockups as needed to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed experiences.Responsibly and effectively advocate for the customer, fostering a shared understanding of the customer-centric intersection between design, content, business and marketing values.Optimize the effectiveness of new and existing features by proactively planning, performing, and advocating validation techniques like usability testing, user research, and interpreting analytic data.Present design work for review and feedback to UX peers, product, & engineering teams.Contribute to a thriving design culture.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices.Knowledge of usability principles and techniques.Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision, or similar.Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar design-related role experience.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $184,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
