In this role, you'll support a variety of exciting design projects, from creating eye-catching informational brochures and magazine editorial layouts to developing unique event and initiative brand suites. Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in graphics design, fine arts, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two years of experience in graphic design, marketing, or related design field
Preferred Qualifications:
A minimum of six years of experience in statistical analysis, manuscript development
Four years of experience in graphic design, marketing, or related design field
Experience producing designs under an established brand guide
Experience creating sub-brands under a large institutional brand
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Adobe Creative Suite platform expertise, particularly in Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and After Effects
Responsibilities
Graphic Design and Production:
Researches and implements design and development best practices
Designs brochures, signs, and other branded materials
Produces sub-brand suites for various Mays-wide events and initiatives
Assists with magazine publication layouts and creative direction for photoshoots
Designs custom illustrations and invitations for editorial magazines and top events
Customer Collaboration and Support:
Communicates pre-press print production specifications for specialty print jobs
Works closely with printers to ensure timeliness, quality, and customer satisfaction
Ensures all materials adhere to brand guidelines and presents design concepts to clients
Collaborates with units within Mays to create final design products through feedback and edits
Project Management:
Manages projects and coordinates production schedules
Works closely with vendors in support of the printing and purchasing of other collateral needs
Manages documentation for each project, including approvals, comments, drafts, and artwork
Ensures timeliness, quantity, quality, and customer satisfaction with final products
Professional Development and Industry Trends:
Follows industry trends through professional networks, blogs, and competitive research
Implements innovative design techniques and shares best practices
Participates in professional development opportunities such as conferences, workshops, and webinars
Conducts competitive analysis and collaborates with cross-industry experts to integrate relevant strategies
